Vegetation Monitoring Report

About the Report

Vegetation monitoring is a highly useful tool to find the most effective treatment options for invasive species as well as evaluate how those treatments last over time. In 2016 with funding through the Metro Nature in Neighborhoods grant, WWRP partners worked to monitor vegetation in target natural areas in west Portland. Site locations were established in west Portland and monitored across a period of 5 years to document the spread of invasives as well as the success of native plantings.

Monitoring was performed by the Wisdom Workforce Development Crew, Friends of Marquam Nature Park, the WWRP Coordinator and Volunteers.

We are excited to share with you the results and analysis of these vegetation monitoring efforts. View the report below.
